Pillbugs or roly-polies are beneficials that break down dead leaves and dying plants to release nutrients into the soil. Sometimes they might have a nibble on a strawberry if it’s touching the soil.

 

How do I attract pillbugs?

 

Pillbugs will most likely not harm your living plants as they are part of nature’s garbage disposal system and consume mostly decaying plant matter. If you have compost around your plants they automatically have food. Pillbugs are most beneficial in a compost pile.
